If you're using the Texpad version purchased from the Mac App Store, you may migrate to our direct upgrade system by following the Migrate from App Store path given here. You must follow the instructions outlined on the migration page exactly. This involves downloading and running Texpad Upgrade Assistant. You're also required to have a texpadapp.com account. If you don't have one yet, sign up now.
The Upgrade Assistant relies on a valid copy of Texpad associated with your Mac. If you have changed your Mac since purchasing Texpad, the Upgrade Assistant may not be able to verify the purchase. This may also be the result of a major repair carried out on the computer such as replacement of the motherboard. In such scenarios, you may have to delete your Texpad version 1.4.7 from your Applications folder and re-download/re-install it from the Mac App Store before proceeding with instructions on the migration page.
